During the early development stages of a product, DUCO offers customers the latest technologies in "turn-key" Prototyping & Model Making. Methods such as SLA, CNC and Lost Wax are all forms of rapid prototyping commonly used by DUCO’s factories. Our factory artisans routinely craft simple models of individual parts and components, or can create hand assembled and hand painted intricate prototypes that look and feel like finished pieces.
When electronic elements are required, DUCO’s model makers will utilize our Electrical Engineering department to ensure the prototypes look and function like actual production units.
During the production process there are numerous advantages and benefits to using prototype models:
- |
Customers can actually see and feel a product in their hand |
- |
It is much easier to correct any unforeseen design issues before actual tooling begins |
- |
Models serve as demonstration units for presentations prior to going to actual production |
